It's with great sadness that I have to announce that baby Noah passed away last night. I really hoped that he was strong enough to prove the doctor's wrong. We spent 5 months with him in the NICU and always checked up on him. The nurses and NICU staff would always mention Michael and Noah in the same breath. They were each other's role model. Unfortunately Noah spent another 6 months in another NICU and his health did not improve. In fact, the doctors could never figure him out.
However, he showed everyone what a remarkable little boy he was. He was such a fighter!! He taught us that you should not take life and health for granted. He will always be with us in our hearts!! Our thoughts and prayers are with his parents, grandparents, his beautiful twin sister Nina and all their friends and family!!!

Michael Jeffrey Pincus was born on February 18, 2007. He was born at 24 weeks at 1 pound, 4 ounces, 11 inches. He spent 149 days in the NICU. He was intubated for 3 months, therefore he has severe BPD (Broncho Pulmonary Dysplasia) and he suffered severe hearing loss in both ears. On September 21, 2007 he received his first set of hearing aids. Other than that he is doing really really well for a 24-weeker!! Michael has been a fighter from the day he was born and this is his journal...
