We went to Boston last week with Rae and Jules and we had a great time!! The weather was beautiful. Friday we went to Plymouth, but the Plymouth Rock was under construction. We did get to see a replica of the Mayflower. After that we drove to Cape Cod. What a beautiful area!!

That night Michael wasn't feeling good. He woke up in the middle of the night with a fever of 103.5!!! We managed to get it down with Tylenol and cold wet cloths.

Here is proud Poppy with a sleeping Michael at the Delta Crown Room

We were having lunch at Plymouth. Michael wanted to sit with the adults :)

Is he a big boy, or what ? :)

Saturday we met up with Matthew (Robert's brother) and Mary. During the day on Saturday Michael still had a slight fever, but he was doing much better. We went into Boston and did one of the Trolley tours and walked around the park and Faneuil Hall. We had so much fun!!

Sunday, Rae and Jules went to Brandeis to their grandson Josephs graduation. He graduated Summa Cum Laude and majored in Biology, Biochemistry and History. Congratulations Joseph!!! In the meantime we went to Mary's parents house, who live near Brandeis. It was so nice to finally meet them. They were so nice and welcoming!!! Their grand daughter was born at 27 weeks. She is (I think) 3 years old now and doing great.

We are so proud of Mikey sitting by himself...
Matthew and Mary had to go back home after that. We had dinner with uncle Steven, aunt Shelley and cousins Elisa, Joseph and Jonathan. This was the first time they got to meet Michael. We had a wonderful dinner and were finally able to talk to them in a more private setting. Usually we see them at weddings and Bar Mitzvah's.

Monday we had to pack and fly home. We had a great time. I wish I had taken more pictures. Unfortunately Michael got a cold again on this trip. We think he is not so good with the flights. We even got him a personalized Ionizer, which is supposed to clean the air right around him. I took him to the pediatrician on Wednesday {where he weighed in at 16.6 pounds, and not 17 like at the GI office :( } His lungs sounded clear when he was at the pediatrician.
However, his cold got worse and today I had to go to Miami Children's for a feeding/swallowing evaluation. He managed to be seen by Rosie, the nurse practitioner at the Pulmonologist. His lungs were not clear at all. So now we have to give him the aerosol treatments more frequently and he is back on Prednison for the next 5 days. Hope this will help him...

The feeding evaluation was interesting. Of course he was hungry and ate 6 ounces without any problems (I wish Becky, his ST could have seen this!! On Wednesday he would not even eat 2 ounces for her). Since Michael was released from the hospital in April, he won't eat more than 4 ounces at a time. Before the hospital he would eat 6 ounces. Also, he does not want any solids, so we are trying to figure out what's going on. Next week he will do a video fluoroscopy to see if he has trouble swallowing. I will keep you updated...
