We were on a roll, checking doctors off our list. Unfortunately we didn't have the same result on Wednesday when we went to see the ophthalmologist (the same doctor that saw him in the NICU). Instead we got a different result: 'surgery', ugghhh!! He has had a tearing eye now for months and they need to go into the corner of his eye with a needle and open up his clogged tear duct. Obviously he has to be sedated for this procedure, which means fasting and after care. He will be bleeding out of his eye and nose for a few days. While he is sedated the doctor will check for glaucoma, to make sure this is ruled out before they do the procedure. They wanted to do the procedure on his birthday, February 18, but we postponed it to March. Wednesday was a very busy day for Michael. He left at 9 am to go to therapy and came home at 4 pm after our doctor's appointment. Needless to say, he was exhausted!!!

On Thursday we went to see Megan to have new ear molds made. He needs new ear molds about every 3 months. They already started 'whistling' again. After seeing Megan, which is always a pleasure, we went to see Kathy for auditory verbal therapy. Michael is very responsive with his hearing aids and doing very well!!!

Friday we had a day off. No appointments, woohoo!! Michael and I slept almost all day!!! We both woke up, had something to eat, played a little and went back to sleep. What a great day :)

Today, Sunday, we met up with Andy, Nicole and Ian for lunch. It was nice to see them, since we had not seen them in such a long time!!
