Saturday we went out on the boat to the Gulf of Mexico. It drizzled a little, but later that day the sun came out. It was better for Michael that it wasn't that sunny, because he would not have been able to open his eyes otherwise. He didn't like the hat that Robert put on his head to protect him from the sun. Claudia had bought a new life jacket and it fit him perfectly. Michael explored the boat and seemed to like it for the most part.
We had a great time. We even saw a dolphin jump high up out of the water, as if he/she was showing off. So much fun!!
We had a great lunch close to Tom's house. Such a fun day!!!!

Exploring the boat...
Driving the boat with Tom. Tom is so great with Michael, he needs a grand child (no pressure to Toms kids: Michelle or Matthew :) )

Mommy and Daddy :)
He wasn't just crawling on the boat, he was also taking steps, like a real sailor :)
After the boat ride, Tom heated the pool so that we could play Marco Polo later that night. Michael loves to splash the water :)
Thanks again Tom for a wonderful weekend in Cape Coral!! And thanks Claudia for feeding us (too much!) wonderful food!!!Monday Michael had OT and PT and they both said that he was doing so much better than the week before. His trunk was much more stable and he almost took a step on his own!! He is so close to walking!!
Tuesday morning he had his first feeding and swallowing therapy and of course, he ate everything they gave him and he doesn't usually eat at home. He ate bananas and Ritz crackers. He didn't even gag or vomit!!! I was very proud of him!! At therapy they weighed him, he was 21.3 pounds.
That afternoon we went to our new pediatrician in Coral Springs (with the same group of doctors as the ones in Miami) and he was weighed again: 19.8 pounds. Isn't that a big difference for being weighed at the same day, both with clothes on?

Anyway, Mikey got his flu shot and only cried for 2 seconds. He is such a trooper!!
Wednesday Michael had a play date with his NICU buddies, Max and Noah. They are twins, but Max is much bigger than Noah. Max is 30 pounds and Noah 22. Max has straight hair and Noah curly hair. They are so cute!!! Michael was pretty protective of his toys. Every time someone wanted to play with one of his toys, he decided that he wanted to play with that right at that moment. He hit Max in the face a few times. He does that to the dog as well. We have to teach him to be nice to other human beings. He is just not used to other kids (yet)...
Max loved the dog and Noah wouldn't come near the dog. If his mom tried to make Noah pet the dog, Noah would close his eyes. So funny!!

Max, Susan and Noah. I love this picture!! By the time we took this picture, the twins were wiped out, very tired!
